The best day, documented with honesty and heart
Photography is simply visual storytelling, so I like to think of my work like styles of writing. Your wedding photos should feel like the most beautiful intersection of journalism and poetry, creating the truest reflection of your day, your people, and your love.
The best journalism is honest, story-driven, people-focused, and easy to understand. The goal is always to let the subjects tell their stories with minimal interference from the journalist, who then finds the heart and the common thread to tie everything together. Journalistic wedding photos show moments as they happened, displaying people’s natural emotions and interactions, the unique character and quirks of a space, true-to-life colors, and a sense of closeness.
The best poetry is layered—beautiful and understandable on the surface, but full of deeper meaning the longer you pay attention and the more background knowledge you have. I want these photos to make your heart flutter, to keep you gazing as you look for more detail, and to transport you to moments of beauty and nostalgia.
